STANLEY - Edward C. Picklesimer, 88, died June 24, 2013, at Stanley Total Living Center.

He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Harbieson Andrews and Nora Sawyer Picklesimer, and was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

He was a retired textile employee.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Ottinger and husband Thomas of Stanley, two sons Larry Picklesimer and wife Sue of Mt. Holly, Robert Pick-lesimer of Monroe; five grandchildren Brian, Chad, Jeremy and Josh Picklesimer, Treasure Brown, and five great-grandchildren; and ex-wife, Ruth Heavner of Mount Holly.

The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Assembly, 323 White Jenkins Road, Bessemer City, with the Rev. Richard Williams of-ficiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday and other times at the home of Lisa and Thomas Ottinger, 109 Craig St, Stanley.
