GASTONIA - Estelle Kimbrell Arrowood, 98, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2012, at Terrace Ridge.
She was a native of Habersham, Georgia, daughter of the late Carlton Dillard and Penelope Ann Shubert Kimbrell.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Raymond Arrowood, a daughter, three brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Arrowood was a member of Dallas Church of God. She retired from the textile industry and ran Arrowood's Nursery in Dallas
for many years af-ter her retirement.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelbie Childress and husband Gary, Geri Burrell and husband Dennis; sisters, Ercelle Ratchford, Margaret Eller; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. at Long Creek Cemetery, Dallas, with the Rev. Troy Burrell officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Terrace Ridge for their love and care.
