GASTONIA - Fleeta Carringer McNichols, 88, passed away June 19, 2012, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.
She was born June 21, 1923, in Tellico Plains, Tenn., daughter of the late Elsberry and Callie Odom Carringer.
Mrs. McNichols family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Robin Johnson House and Gaston Hospice for their loving care of her.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Greene Fuenral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
She is survived by: her sons, G. Mitchell Hendricks, Nickey Hendricks and wife, Linda all of Gastonia; daughter, Diane Franks and husband, Lewis of Belmont; brothers, Charlie Carringer and wife, Louise of Dallas, Wayne Carringer of Gastonia; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy McNichols; son, Ralph Howard Vernon; daughter, Linda Kay Dodgen; grandson, Chuck Vernon; brother, Matt Carringer; sisters, Lillie McDonald, Sylvia Satterfield, Blanch Simmons, Maggie Murray; two half sisters.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are withe the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
