MOUNT HOLLY - Freeman Carver, 69, of 411 Smith Road, died Thursday, April 19, 2012.
He was born in Graham County, son of the late Nevel and Vivian Crisp Carver. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Lighthouse Full Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Carver.
He is survived his wife, Mollie Louise Aiken Carver; one sister, Pat Welch and husband, Ray, of North Belmont; and two brothers, Ricky Carver of Robbinsville and Kyle "Pee Wee" Carver of North Belmont.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Carver will be11:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at The Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, with the Rev. Herman Winkler officiating.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly is serving the Carver family.
