CLOVER, S.C. - Bertha Geneva Watson Pettus, 86, of 98 Zion Church Road, died Nov. 29, 2013, at her home.
The Guest Book is expired.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Green Pond United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Caldwell Sr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Church cemetery.
Quiet hour will be held before the service in the church.
Mrs. Pettus was born June 12, 1927, in York County, S.C., to the late Emmett Houston and Bertha Lee Adams Watson. She was a lifetime member of Green Pond United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the order of Eastern Stars. First, with the
Magnolia Chapter #144 be-fore merging with White Hill O. E. S. #350.
Mrs. Pettus was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Pettus, three brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors are her daughters: Martha Boyd of Hope Mills, NC; Melva Trigg (Jeffrey) of Elgin, SC; Anita Pettus of Atlanta, GA; and Sarah Watkins of Clover, SC; sons: James Watson (Jody) of Orangeburg, SC; Reginald Pettus (Lana) of Jonesboro, GA; and Mospher Pettus of Clover, SC; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; aunt: Ellie Vee Watson; sisters-in-law: Bell Watson, Elouise Pettus, Clara Pettus, and Audrey Neroes.
