BELMONT - Gerald Graham Huffstetler, 77, died Jan. 25, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Mecklenburg County, son of the late George Graham and Jennie Lee Carpenter Huffstetler.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Regis Skidmore Huffstetler; son Jeffrey Huffstetler and brothers, Harold and Zane Huffstetler.
Gerald retired from Eastern Airlines and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was an avid Tar Heel fan and loved tennis. Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his son, Rodney Huffstetler; daughter, Jennie Lee Elliott; brothers, the Rev. Edsel Huffstetler, Max P. Huffstetler; sisters, Sybil H. White, Libby Christenbury; grandchildren, Dylan Taft Elliott, Erin Lee Elliott, Alexa Huffstetler and great grandchild, Sephiroth Joshua Brandenburg.
The family will receive friends from 11: 30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at McLean Funeral Directors of Bel-mont.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ken Sausedo officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly.
