MOUNT HOLLY - Gerald Stephan "Jerry" Fox, 71, died Feb. 13, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Albert Clayton and Margaret Kurtz Fox.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era.

Survivors include three sons, Gene Fox, of Mount Holly, Chriss Fox and wife, Wanda Sue, of Bessemer City, and Dan Fox, of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren, Stephana, Michele and C.J.; and two great-grandchildren, Reggie and Kailey.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Fox will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A graveside service with military honors will be held noon Tuesday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
