GASTONIA - Glenn E. Caldwell, 80 of 2509 Georgemont Ct., passed away peacefully on Nov. 20, 2012, at his residence.

He was a native of Gaston County, born Nov. 24, 1931, to the late Lee Perry and Della Fisher Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Steven Caldwell; his brothers, William Ross Caldwell, Julius Lee Caldwell and Bonnie Clyde Caldwell; his sisters Rosie C Fletcher and Helen C. Simon.

Glenn was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
Glenn loved work, the beach and his family. He was owner and operator of Glenn Caldwell Construction

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Carol Killian Caldwell; his children Janice C. Roach and husband Steve, Michael E. Caldwell and wife Crystal, Nancy Caldwell-Baker all of Gastonia, Mark S. Caldwell and wife Phyllis of Rock Hill, SC; stepdaughters, Gwen Caskey and husband Joey, Candace Brown and husband Kevin of Gastonia; grandchildren, Stephanie Caldwell, Lauren C. Dukes, Adam Caldwell, Ashley Baker, James Glenn Baker, Lisa Bass, Shana Lawson, Kell Benson, Aaron and Addison Caskey, Reagan and Anna Brown; two great-grandchildren, Zane and Lilli Bass Brothers Jack R Caldwell and wife Betty of Gastonia, Clarence David Caldwell of Alameda, Calif.; and a sister, Lucille C. Denton and Clarence of Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Parkwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Interment will be Private at Gaston Memorial Park with military honors by Gaston County Honor Guard.
