Helen deeply loved her two granddaughters Shawna Barrett Tillery and husband Jim of Greensboro and Madison Paige Mabry of Concord. She watched them grow into beautiful, intelligent and caring women.

She always expressed great love and delight for her two great-grandchildren, Caroline Faye Tillery and Jackson Ajalon Tillery of Greensboro. Her only

surviving sibling is Mary Ruth Phillips Heafner, of Greensboro; also, a niece, Rebecca Heafner Schlosser and her husband, Michael of Greensboro; and brother-in-law, Earl Stewart Vest of Floyd, VA.

For 48 years, Helen and Elwood were the owners and operators of Western Auto which later became Mabry Supplies. Helen enjoyed going to auctions and sales, looking for and buying antiques.
