GASTONIA - Henry "Ashley" Koon, 37, passed away Sept 24, 2011.
He was born Dec. 18, 1973, in Mecklenburg County, son of Henry Steve and Betty Grant Koon of Gastonia.
Ashley was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was an avid Panthers and NC State Wolfpack fan.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Chad Collins.
Inurnment will follow the service on Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are Steven Grant Koon, Gary Bowlin, Adam Gimbert, Wesley Hardin, Greg Hardin, Kevin Wolfe.
In addition to his parents he is survived by: his daughters, Raegan and Alexandra Koon of China Grove,NC; brother, Steven Grant Koon of Gastonia; sister and brother in-law, Stephanie and Gary Bowlin of Gastonia.
Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
