GASTONIA - Irvin Washington Randolph, 90, died June 18, 2012, at Courtland Terrace.

Irvin was a native of Cherokee County, S.C., son of the late George Washington Randolph and Mollie McCraw Randolph.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with the Rev. Fred High officiating.
Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
Irvin was a member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church. He retired from Akers Motor Lines with over 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Sowell Randolph, daughters, Jane R. Hughes and husband Bud of Ranlo, Cathy R. Ramsey of Mt. Holly, step-daughter, Sherry R. Long and husband Gene of Gastonia, grandchildren, LouAnn Gilliam and husband, the Rev. Trey Gilliam, David R. Hughes and wife Laura, Michael R. Free and wife Ann, Dennis Free and wife Kathy, great-grandchildren, Maria Free, Daniel Free, Jesse Free, Lily Free, Matty Grace Gilliam, Gabriel Hughes, Noah Hughes, step-grandchildren, Kim
Houser and husband Kevin, Greg Hinson, step-great grandchildren, Greyson Hinson and Braden Hinson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie Phillips Godfrey Randolph, brothers, Grady Randolph,
Marvin Randolph, Boyce "Boss" Randolph, sisters, Laura Lee Sadler, Sarah Allison and Lissie Simmons.
