GROVER - James Robert Roper, 72, husband, father, U.S. Navy Veteran and owner of Roper Motor Company passed away May 6, 2012.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Rucker Roper; his sons, James Robert Roper III, Michael Wesley Roper; his grandchildren, Michael Alan Roper, James Wesley Roper, Dominic Michael Roper; his sister, Jerre Craig Garnett, her children, the
Rev. James G. Jones, Robert Glen Jones; and many beloved family and friends.
