GASTONIA - Jennifer Gilliland Farmer, 38, of the Springwood section of Gastonia, went to walk with Jesus after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Feb. 23, 2014.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend.
She was born in Gaston County on Feb. 2, 1976, to her parents Earl and Susie Reese Gilliland.
In addition to her parents survivors include her husband of 15 years, Charles "Shorty" Alan Farmer; children, Emily Brook Farmer and Elizabeth (Belle) Callie Farmer; brothers and sisters, Barbara Mims (Darren Sr.), Lee Gilliland (Jackie), Steve Gilliland and Michael Gilliland and special in-laws, Dean and Alice Farmer.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Granny and Grandpa Reese and Sed and Callie Gilliland.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Sharon Freewill Baptist Church, 410 Reese St, Gastonia with the Revs. Odell Cook and Will McPeters officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the home of Earl and Susie Gilliland.
