GASTONIA - James "Jimmy" William Spearman Sr., 51, passed away May 19, 2013.

Born in Gaston County, he was the son of the late Daniel Robert Spearman Sr. and Mary Lou Braswell Spearman.

Mr. Spearman was a 35 year employee with Work Flow One where he was a printing press operator. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Jimmy loved all sports, especially the North Carolina Tar Heels, and cherished his family and friends.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jerrilynn Bell Spearman; sons, Jeremy Clinton Spearman and James "Bo" William Spearman, Jr., both of Gastonia; brother, Daniel Robert Spearman Jr. of Oak Island; sisters, Rebecca Spearman Gordon and Malia Spearman Beaver, both of Gastonia; a number of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends of Jimmy Spearman are invited to attend his funeral service beginning 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. Pastor John Stanley will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
