BELMONT - Joanne Cline Elmore, 79, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at her home.
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Rudd H. and Louise Edwards Cline.
Joanne was a devoted mother and grandmother. She retired from Pioneer Girl Scout Council after over 30 years of faithful service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belmont, where she was involved with United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri E. Wilson and son-in-law Claude of Belmont; son, Harvey H. Elmore III and daughter-in-law Debra of Cramerton; grandchildren, Mitchell Wilson and wife Tara, Keith Wilson and wife Ali, Josh Elmore, Chelsea Elmore, Tyler Hallman and husband Nick and great-grandchildren Reagan and Rudd Wilson.
A service celebrating the life of Joanne will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Belmont with the Rev. Chuck Baker officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in Carpenter Hall.
