CLOVER, S.C. - Johnny Alfred Michaels, 84, husband of Helen White Michaels of 2860 Stroup Road, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Michaels was born in Mount Pleasant, Ga., on May 15, 1928, a son of the late Charlie Wilder Michaels and Sarah Davis Michaels. He was a retired textile worker and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are six daughters, Vivian Chapman of Stanley, Sandra Benfield and husband, Jerry of York, S.C.., Johnnie Wise and husband, Wayne of Lincolnton, Sara Sipe and husband, Jeff of Clover, S,C., Debbie Feagin and husband Barry, of Newberry, S.C., and Malinda Mitaritonno of the home; one son, Paul Rabb and wife Trudi, of Austria; two sisters, Grace Hullett of Clover, S.C., and Geraldine Lewis of Lincolnton; four brothers, Charles Michaels of York, S.C., Leonard Michaels, Roger Michael, and Harold Michaels, all of Clover, S.C.; 27 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Clover Church of the Nazarene.
Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be held noon- 2 p.m. Monday at the church prior to the services.
The family will be at the home, 2860 Stroup Road, Clover.
