GASTONIA - Joyce Marie "MiMi" Hensley, 84, ended her earthly journey on April 2, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Wogoman Stuck;

She and her husband, he Rev. William E. Hensley, enjoyed 63 years as a ministerial family serving churches in Ohio in both United Methodist and United Church of Christ denominations. After retiring from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in 1989 and moving to North Carolina, she de-voted herself to family life support.

In additon to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Teresa Hamblin (Steve) of Danville, Ky., Holly Denning (Thomas) of Superior, Colo.; brother, Kenneth Stuck (Elaine); grandchildren, Amber Evans of Danville, Josh Evans of San Diego, Tyler and Colton Denning of Texas and Colo; great-grandchildren, Christian Evans of Danville and Mason Evans of San Diego; nephew and niece, Kent and Kathy Stuck of Miamisburg, Ohio.

Much cherished extended family members include Dr. Sam Ison of Lebanon, Ohio; Betty Hicks and Lynn Evans of Gastonia; and the survivors of the Dan Rhyne family; Connie, daughter Madison, and son Blake.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ward Funeral Service, 220 South Broad Street.

A memorial service is planned later in Ohio.
