GASTONIA - Kim Rodney Farr, 49, died April 29, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Gaston County, son of the late Bobby Lee and Dorothy Cooper Farr.
Kim attended Ashbrook High School and was a machinist by trade. Kim was an avid sports fan, especially an Oakland Raiders fan. He enjoyed Braves baseball and NASCAR racing. Kim was loved by all who knew him. He had a kind and humble spirit. We will miss him terribly.
Survivors included his sister, Terri Murphy and husband Audie; brother, Kevin Farr and fiancée Anna Grant; niece, Amber Murphy Ensley and hus-band Chase; nephews, Adam Murphy and Landon Farr; great nephew, Jackson Murphy Thomas; best friends, Mike and Nicole Walker; special friends (family in love), Brenda Canipe "Sis", Linda Franklin, Victoria, Jarrett; uncle, Frank Farr and wife Brenda; aunts, Ailene Nichols and husband Robert, Billie Jean Tanner and husband Chuck, Barbara McGinnis and husband Jerry, Pat Haney and husband Jim, Linda Weaver and husband Roger, Betty Pacella; numerous cousins and his special cat, "Daisy."
A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
A visitation will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at McLean Funeral Directors.
