NEWTON - Kyles Wesley Clement, 62, of 1207 Little Road, died Jan. 31, 2010, at his residence after a lingering illness.

He was born May 9, 1947, in Catawba County, son of the late S.I. Clement and Lillie Mae Clement.

He was employed with Foothill Trucking Co. as a truck driver and was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Lynn Friday Clement of the home; daughters, Lisa (Morris) Clement-Bryant of York, S.C., Keacha (Gino) Portanova of Golden, Colo., Corinthias (Joseph) Clement-Johnson of Mooresville, Kaneia (Kenneth) Clement-Williams of Newton; sister, Sharon (George) Roberts of Bessemer City; brother Perry (Charita) Clement of Bessemer City; nine grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
One brother, Sellie Isaac Clement Jr., preceded him in death.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Coulters Grove AME Zion Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Perry Clement Sr., Morris Bryant, Joseph P. Johnson Jr., Kenneth Williams, Montae A. Monroe, Joseph W. Bryant.
