GASTONIA - Lucy Ford Bradley, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Noah Eccles Ford and Mary Moffitt Ford. Mrs. Bradley was a teacher and worked for 31 years at Belvedere Playhouse. She was a member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Larry Knox Bradley; son, Joe Bradley; brothers, Bud Ford, Charles Ford and Joe Ford; sisters, Frances Wigmore and Helen Ford.
Mrs. Bradley is survived by her children, Tom Bradley of Crouse, Patricia Leonard and her husband, William of Gastonia, and Sharon Maples of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren, Julie Bradley, Jill Crisp, Preston Leonard, Jeff Leonard, Todd Maples, Shane Maples, Kristen Wilhoit and Heather Bradley; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Doris Ford of Rutherfordton; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Don Dixon of Gastonia.
Family and friends of Mrs. Bradley are invited to attend her funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. The Rev. Fred High will officiate. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
