GASTONIA - Lula Parks Bolick, 101, died Nov. 20, 2012, at Covenant Village.

She was a native of York County, S.C., daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Bennie Faulkner Parks.
Lula was a homemaker, Red Cross volunteer for 45 years, Sunday School teacher, former president of Women of the Church, active choir member, avid golfer, and a charter member of Agape Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son Ellis A. Bolick Jr. and wife Betty Jo of Hickory; daughters, Drusilla B. Huffstickler of Gastonia, Elisabeth B. Lovingood of Cher-ryville; grandchildren, Lynne Bolick Reed, Kenley Sigmon, Ellis A. "Andy" Bolick III, Susan Garren, Alice Marie Harris, Carolyn Lovingood, William Lov-ingood, Mary Beth Stone, David Huffstickler; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Anderson Bolick Sr., one brother and four sisters.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Founders Chapel, McLean Funeral Directors, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends following the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A private burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
