Mable Harmon Neill, 89, of Mary's Grove Road, died June 28, 2012, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Mable was born in Gaston County on June 21, 1923, the daughter of the late John J. and Lola Mae Houser Harmon. She worked at the Rhyne Houser Mill and retired from Doran Mill. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ralph Neill.
Survivors include two sons, Charles "Sonny" Neal and wife, Georgia, of Conway, and Richard "Rick" Neal and wife, Nancy, of Cornelius; one daughter, Shelby N. Ford of Cherryville; four grand-children; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Junior Harmon of Gastonia; and one half sister, Medrie Hawkins of Gastonia.
Funeral services will be held June 30, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Carpenter's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mary's Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon to 12:45 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home, and other times at the home.
