GASTONIA - Marjorie Bazzell Kinard, 92, passed away Nov. 27, 2012, at Covenant Village.

A native of Brunson County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Alma Preacher Bazzell, and the wife of the late James Anderson Kinard.

Marjorie was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Belmont, where she had been active on various committees.

She will be greatly missed by her children, James "Jimmy" Anderson Kinard, Jr. and wife Martha of Fort Mill, SC, Danny and Barbara Kinard of Bel-mont, Bobby Kinard of Belmont, Brenda Hoover and husband Joseph of Gastonia, Donna McNeely and husband Jimmy of Mt. Holly, Cindy Davis and husband Larry of Belmont; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Brown; two brothers and one sister.

It was Marjorie's wish that her body be bequeathed to Wake Forest School of Medicine and that a service celebrating her life be held at a time and place convenient for the family.
Friends and family are invited to gather 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Marks UMC for visitation with a memorial service at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Marjorie Kinard may be made to St. Marks UMC, 701 Secrest Avenue, Belmont, NC 28012.
