Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Marjory Marie Major was the daughter of Eugene and Ida Major,
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lester Bonner and Fred Edinborrow, and five brothers. In 2005, Marjory moved from Garden City, MI, to Madison Place Apartments in Gastonia, NC, and then to Terrace Ridge Assisted Living, Gastonia, NC. Earlier this year Marjory relocated to Sterling House of Mid-land, Midland, MI where she passed away at Sterling House after a short illness. Marjory was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gastonia,NC
She is survived by daughter Sally Christie of Sanford, Michigan, son Tom Bonner and daughter-in-law Victoria Bonner of Gastonia, North Carolina. She has one surviving brother, Walter Major and his wife Venita, .of Mason, MI. She will be greatly missed by grandsons Matt (Meg) Vanderbilt, Gastonia, NC, Tom Vanderbilt of New York City, great grandchildren Emmaus, Elijah, and Elana Vanderbilt. She leaves behind many other relatives in Michigan.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Mel Catholic Church, 7506 N. Inkster Road, Dearborn Heights, MI.
A graveside burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Southfield, MI.
Rather than flowers, the family prefers those planning an expression of sympathy to consider St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gastonia.
Funeral arrangements have been made by Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, Midland, MI.
