LINCOLNTON - Martha Polk Ramsey, 79, of 973 Royal Drive, died Feb. 24, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Boger City Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Bigham officiating.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Ramsey was born Jan. 3, 1934, in Gaston County, to the late Thomas Brady and Eula Kezziah Polk.
She worked in food service. Martha was a member of Boger City Baptist Church for twenty years where she participated in the Golden Voices and the church choir. She also enjoyed crafts, working puzzles, and reading.
She is survived by her husband, W. Gordon Ramsey of the home; a son, John Wayne Ramsey and wife Debra of Matthews; three daughters, Donna Henson and husband Tony of Belmont, Nancy Watt and husband Lee and Pamela Jordan, all of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Catawba Valley, Sherrills Ford Unit, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Sherrills Ford Hospice House for their exceptional care.
