Mary Lois Robertson Bridges, 90, formerly of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord September 8, 2018 at Brookdale Historic Roswell, Georgia. She was born October 7, 1927 to the late P.S. Robertson and Carola Whitesides Robertson in Asheville, NC. She married the love of her life, Ralph, June 30, 1947, raising three daughters in the Gastonia area. After retirement, she and Ralph moved to Southport, NC where they loved fishing and gardening together. They were married 57 years until Ralph's death. Early in her life, Lois worked in the textile and sewing industries. She was a member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church before moving to the coast. She enjoyed sewing and making beautiful dresses for her daughters.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ralph, and three siblings. Lois is survived by daughters: Becky Keenum (Lynn), Terri Chaney (Richard) and Tammy Archer (fiancé, Jonathan Garcia); grandchildren Nikki Wilkerson (Victor), Libby Riordan (Mike), Matt Chaney (Sarah), Reid Chaney (Ashelea), Kelly Comer (Bill), and Jason Archer, and nine great-grandchildren. She will be missed by special friends, Pat and Anna, at Crescent Heights, where she lived for the last two years. Other dear friends who supported her throughout her life were Julia (Concord) and Martha (Cramerton).

A memorial service will be held October 6, 2018, 2:00 pm at Roswell Presbyterian Church, interment to follow on October 7, 3:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Homestead Hospice, 1080 Holcomb Bridge Road, Building 200, Suite 100, Roswell, GA 30076 or Lung Cancer Research Foundation, 155 E. 55th Street, Suite 6H, New York, NY 10022.
