GASTONIA - Mary White Hill, 87, passed away Oct. 29, 2013, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born July 13, 1926, in York, S.C., daughter of the late William Elias White and Lula Bell Jonas White.

Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church, Gastonia, where she taught Sunday School, participated in Mission trips and Crisis Assistance Ministry. Mary worked in Textiles for over 30 years. The family would like to express their thanks to the Staff of Caromont Regional Medical Center for their care of Mrs. Hill.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

A celebration of her homegoing will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Mike Johnson.

The entombment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum, Gastonia.

Mrs. Hill is survived by: her loving husband of 70 years, William "Bill" Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Cindy Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Terry Crook; brother and sister-in-law, Boyce and Rebecca White; sister, Ethel McEntyre; grandchildren, Dennis Cole and compan-ion, Tosha, Duane Cole and spouse, Nikki, Lindsay Davis and spouse, Sean, Matthew Hill; great-grandchildren, Anna, Jacob, Ayla and Liam Cole.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
