GASTONIA - Mike Phillips, 46, passed away Oct. 20, 2012, at his home.
He was born Jan. 29, 1966, in Gaston County, to the late Dennis Gary Phillips and Ruth Beatrice Mason Phillips.
Mike was the greatest father, brother and friend to everyone he knew.
In the wrestling world, he was known as "Mike Star."
A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be 2 p.m. Friday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, offici-ated by the Rev. Charles Russell.
The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
Mr. Phillips is survived by: son, Michael Malachai Williams; brother, Greg Phillips and wife Misty; sisters, Angela Phillips and husband Lewis, Denise Glasgow; grandchild, Garrett Williams; nieces, Aimee Cook , Lacee Glasgow; nephews, Clark Nalley, Kyle, Brandon and Damian Phillips.
