LOVELAND, Ohio - Mildred Tucker Ford, 100, formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2013, at her home.

She was born Jan. 26, 1913, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Clarence Eugene and Ida Mauney Tucker.
Mildred was known for her dedication to her family and her commitment to serving the community, especially through the Belmont Community Organization and her church.
She is survived by her son, Paul Ford Jr. and wife Louise of Greensboro, NC; daughter, Alice Obst and husband Gary of Loveland, OH; grandchildren, Christie, Patrick and wife Ursula, Kim and husband Steven, Jonathan, Kate and husband Jason; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces, Helen Ledford and Frances Marlowe, nephew, Rusty Ford and wife Bobbye.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, James Paul Ford, Sr., and by sisters, Mary Ledford and Georgia May Bentley.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at McLean Funeral Directors, 515 N. Central Avenue, Belmont.
A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate the life of Mildred will be held at The Belmont Abbey Basilica at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow the service at Belmont Abbey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Belmont Community Organization, PO Box 1248, Belmont, NC 28012.
