DALLAS - Nancy Lineberger Finger, 75, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2014, at Summit Place of Kings Mountain.

She was born in Gaston County on May 30, 1938, to the late Ray Austell and Jenny Mae Beam Lineberger.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Paul Finger.

She attended Dallas Baptist Church and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dallas. She loved her family and friends. Nancy was a graduate of Sacred Heart College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and worked in Gaston County where she gave over 30 years of service. She Worked at Belks and at Peedin (Arlington) as secretary, while attending Sacred Heart, graduated with a BA in Primary Education. She Taught school at Flint Groves and Clay Street,

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn McAbee and Angel Thomas; grandchildren, Amanda Todd, Rhonda Francum and Angela Edwards; two step grandsons, Chris and Joe McAbee; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Finger, widow of brother-in-law Robert A. Finger; sister, Sally and Doug Terres; brothers and sister-in-law, John Rhyne and Margie Finger, Jimmy and Marie Finger.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, May 9th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas.

A celebration of life service will be held following the visitation at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jonathan A. Schnibben officiating.

Interment will be immediately following service in the church cemetery.
