GASTONIA -- Nathan Blake Hensley, 27, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior April 4, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Bal-timore, Md.

Nathan was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Aug. 19, 1985. He was a member of Bethlehem Church in Gastonia and loved to fish, Tennessee football, and cherished his time with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Karen Hensley of Gastonia; brothers, Matthew Hensley (Bonnie), and Ben Hensley, all of Gastonia; ma-ternal grandmother, Katherine Worley and paternal grandfather, Dewey Hensley, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; nieces, Olivia and Kate; three uncles and one aunt in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Funeral services to celebrate Nate's life will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Church 3100 Bethlehem Church St., Gastonia, N.C. with Pastors Dickie Spargo and Dale Lawing officiating. Visitation will be held Monday April 8, 2013 from 5 – 9 p.m. also at the church. Inter-ment will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson, Tenn. on Thursday April 11, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials to be made in Nathan's name to the Marfan Syndrome Research c/o Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, MRB539, 733 N. Broadway, Baltimore MD 21205.
