GASTONIA - Nellie Juanita Bridges Harrison, 82, of 1621 Spencer Mountain Road, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Rumfelt officiating. Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.
Juanita was born in Lincoln County on May 6, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ola Sisk Bridges. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louie and Claude Bridges and grandson, Jerry "Jay" Lee Harrison Jr.
Juanita retired from the Gas Control Department of Public Service Gas Co. of North Carolina as an integrator operator. She graduated from Evans Business College.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Zemmie D. Harrison of the home; one son, Jerry Harrison and wife, Jeanne of Boiling Springs Lakes; one daughter, Vanita Evans and husband, Steve of Kings Mountain; one sister, Margaret Heavner of Decatur, Tenn.; one grandson, Cameron Harrison and wife, Misty of Bessemer City; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and special friends of 60 years, David and Lucille Pegram of Gastonia.
Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton is serving the Harrison family.
