BESSEMER CITY - Patricia Kay Stewart, 57, passed away peacefully on Aug. 15, 2013.

Born in Gaston County, Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of the late James and Faye Bost Callahan.

A member of Flint Groves Baptist Church, Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing. Most of all, she loved her family dearly.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Tommy Stewart; daughters, Amy Stewart Rhodes and her husband, Ronald of Bes-semer City, and Tonya Arton of Dallas; grandson, Evan Rhodes; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Cheryl Callahan of Dallas and Roger and Debbie Callahan of Gastonia; sister, Ruth Warren of Dallas; foster sisters, Trish Chitwood of Rock Hill, SC and Connie Campbell of Franklin; step-sister, Cathy Proctor of Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends of Mrs. Stewart are invited to attend her funeral service beginning 2 p.m. Sunday in Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. The Revs. David Stewart and Jerry Rhodes will officiate.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Amy and Ronald Rhodes, 117 Helen Avenue, Bessemer City.
