STANLEY - Paul Thomas Lee Blackmon, 51, of 201 Jana Drive, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Cumberland County, son of Frances Eubanks Blackmon Sipe and the late Henry Furman Blackmon Jr.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, Stanley.
Burial will be private and at a later date.
The family will receive friends after the Memorial Service at Carothers Funeral Home, Stanley.
Mr. Blackmon attended Fayetteville Tech and was a former Manager of Rickies One Stop in Statesville.
Survivors: Mother and stepfather: Frances and Thomas Sipe of Mount Holly; two sisters: Roxanne Bennett and husband Dennis of Charlotte, Wanda Blackmon of Statesville; two brothers: Phil Blackmon and wife Deborah of Stanley, Richard Blackmon of Mocksville; 14 nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
