BELMONT - Pauline McDonald Shipp, 103, 521 Franklin St., died Dec. 29, 2012, at home.

A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel McDonald and Margaret Anderson McDonald.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, Belmont.

The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church and other times at 322 Elm St., Belmont.

Burial will be at St. Benedict's Cemetery, Belmont.

Survivors include a special niece, Jacqueline Williams; special caregiver, Wiley Artis; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Andrew McDonald; sisters, Lucille Davis and Josephine Bowens; brothers, Tom McDonald, Joseph McDonald, Frances McDonald, Christopher McDonald, and James McDonald.

Costner Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
