MOUNT HOLLY -- Rebecca Karen Icenhour Auten , 48, of 238 Fox Den Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

She was born in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Atwell U. and Essie Laws Icenhour. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Laws; and a sister, Martha Sue Icenhour.
She was a homemaker and a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church in Lincolnton. She was a devoted and loving Mother to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Randy Maurice Auten; three children, Shan Maurice Auten, Trace Johnson Auten, and Audra Lina Auten all of Mount Holly; two sisters, Rachel Davis and husband Glenn of Sylva, N.C., Leah Roberson and husband Jeffrey of Mount Holly, a brother, Ronald D. Icenhour and wife Doris of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Melanie Auten of Belmont; two nieces, Bree and Hailey; one nephew, Blake; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Auten will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at The Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
