DALLAS - Reeves McAllister, 75, passed away Jan. 31, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Habersham County, Ga., to the late Robert Lee and Mary Palmer McAllister.

Reeves served his country in the United States Air Force. He was owner and operated 66 gas station in Gastonia for many years.
Reeves loved going to the mountains, restoring old cars and he was very creative and artistic.

He is survived by his brother, Larry McAllister; sisters, Betty Saunders and Cathy Wilson; grandson, Christopher McAllister; step-sons, Greg and Matt Walls; special friend and caregiver, Gina Gulledge; many other special friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy McAllister; son, Ronald McAllister; brothers, Jerry, Reggie, O'Neal and Ricky McAllister.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel, Bessemer City with the Rev. Gary Teague officiating.

Interment will be private with full military rites by Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at his sister's home, 3616 Raven Hill Drive, Gastonia, NC 28056 704-864-0848 .
