LINCOLNTON - Robert Larry Link Sr., 74, of 2584 Brookwood Road, went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2012.
His graveside burial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2858 E. Highway 150 in Lincolnton.
His memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Pisgah United Methodist Church at 2582 Gastonia Highway in Lincolnton with the Rev. Dr. Judy Eurey and the Rev. Charles Stevens officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at Pisgah.
Mr. Link was born Nov. 29, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late Andrew and Martha Maie Forbis Link.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Link and sister, Cecelia Link Parker Myers. Mr. Link was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1962 and subsequently retired from Carolina Mills in 2001. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Hazeline Houser Link; one daughter, Renee Link of Stanley; two sons, Robby Link and wife
Helen Link of Denver, and Ricky Link of Lincolnton; and one granddaughter, Jessica Link.
In his later years, Mr. Link enjoyed spending time working on his yard, playing golf with friends, playing with his dog "Rosie", tinkering with his antique Ford Thunderbird, and visiting with family and friends.
