GASTONIA - Robyn Hunsinger Hill, 50, passed away May 17, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.

She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of Melvin Leroy, Jr. and Willena Barnes Hunsinger.

Robyn was a graduate of Gardner Webb University and the Presbyterian School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Unit at Presbyterian Hospital where she worked for thirty two years. Robyn was a member of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses. She was the recipi-ent of the Nancy Seagle Snapp award for Nursing Excellence from the Presbyterian Hospital Foundation and also received the Pride of Presbyterian award. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Robyn is survived by her husband, Bob Hill; sister, Kim Tuttle; brothers, Scott Hunsinger and wife Margaret, Melvin Hunsinger, III; father-in-law, Clyde Hill; brother-in-law, Scott Hill and wife Elaine; sister-in-law, Pat Laws and husband Richard; nephews and nieces, Timothy Lewis, James Tuttle, Allie Hunsinger, Lisa, Zeke and Ethan.

A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Brown officiating.

A visitation will be held from noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Sanctuary.

A reception will be held following the service in the fellowship hall.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wyatt Fowler, Dr. Geoffrey Chapman; oncology nurses, Mary, Cathy, Gloria, Linda, Joanna and Donna; Axillary Staff, Jill and Denise; special friend, Barbara Ness and Pam Gwaltney, her GI Navigator and friend.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Service Agency of the donor's choice.
