KINGS MOUNTAIN - The Rev. Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Holcombe, 69, passed away June 25, 2012, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
He was born Jan. 12, 1943, in Gaston County, to the late Rev. Odell Holcombe and Mae Abernathy Holcombe.
The Rev. Holcombe was formerly a Deacon and Associate Pastor at King James Baptist Church in Bessemer City. He was presently a member and a Sunday School Teacher at New Beginning Independent Baptist Church. Rev. Holcombe retired from Wal-Mart in Gastonia.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel, Bessemer City, with Dr. Michael Keough and the
Rev. Dennis Detter officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Howell Holcombe; daughters, Wendy Panther and Rebecca Bradley both of Gasto-nia; grandson, Nicholas Panther.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Panther.
