GASTONIA - Ronnie Lee Falls Sr. passed away Aug. 8, 2013, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

A Gastonia native, Ronnie was the son of Minister "Pops" Justice Jackson, the late Eddie Dunlap, and the late Mary Frances Falls Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; daughter, Latrenda Brown; two brothers, Edward Dunlap and Samuel Black; and his beautiful granddaughter, Domonique Ratchford.
Ronnie was a graduate of Cramerton High School, Cramerton, North Carolina. He studied at Belmont Abbey College, Gaston College, and Central Piedmont Community College. Employed by Hahn Mason of Charlotte, North Carolina, he was formerly employed as a supervisor at the Groves Plant of American & Efird, Inc. in Gastonia. Ronnie served proudly for six years in the United States Army. He was an active and faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was an effective and valuable member of the Men's Choir.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Belle Barnette Falls; father, Minister Justice Jackson; sons, Curtis Gingles (Candace), Ronnie Falls, Jr., and Tony and Dean Barnette; daughters, Tamara Ratchford (W.C.), Tasha Love (Rob), and Katrina Meadows (Dwayne); two brothers, Eric Black (Zerelda), and Jack Dunlap; five sisters, Gwendolyn Crawford (George), Millicent Scott (Lee), Gracie Dunlap, Rebecca Wilson, and Selina Thomp-son (George); 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the celebration service.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
