GASTONIA - Rosa Lynch Black, 86, died peacefully at Covenant Village on Oct. 12, 2012.

A native of Belmont, she was the daughter of the late Miles George and Grace Fite Lynch.

Rosa was a registered nurse and dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Gastonia.

A service to celebrate her life will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Christy and the Rev. Dr. Jim Westmoreland officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. Sunday in the living room of Covenant Village.

A private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Black of Carbondale, Colo.; Cheryl Black Loggins and husband, Marc, of Gastonia; son, Hugh G. Black III of Texas; granddaughter, Chris Ziegler and husband, Johnny, of Colorado; and great-granddaughter, Megan Ziegler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Grady Black Jr.; twin brother, Mason G. Lynch; brother, Edmund Lynch; and sister, Helen Lynch Smith.
