KINGS MOUNTAIN - Ruth Strickland Johnson, 77, passed away June 2, 2012.
She was born Feb. 1, 1935, in Cleveland County, to the late Robert Edward and Beaulah Bullock Strickland.
Her funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Bob Hope, Doug Club, and Scott Strickland of-ficiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her sons, Eddie and Debbie Johnson, Barry and Toni Johnson, Robert and Kim Johnson, all of Kings Mountain, Kenneth and Ber-nice Johnson of Dearing, Ga.; daughter, Tammy and Jack Propst of Clover, S.C.; sisters, Irene Queen and Joyce Revis, both of Kings Mountain; grand-children, Derek, Brittany, and Justin Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Jackie Propst and Dwayne Propst, Gerald White, Chrishana Revis; great-granddaughter, McKenzie Huggins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garlas "Garl" Johnson, brother: Clyde Strickland.
