GASTONIA - Sharon Newton Hill, 57, of Gastonia, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her residence.
A Gaston County native, she was born July 14, 1955, daughter of Violet Groves Newton of Gastonia and the late David Newton.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Ms. Hill is survived by her sons, David J. Newton and wife, Julie, and William R. Henderson Jr. and wife, Dawn, all of Gastonia; daughter, Leslie Jackson and husband, Travis, of Gastonia; and grandchildren, Camron Brewer, Austin Henderson, Kierra Newton, Nick Henderson and Ryleigh Newton.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 18 from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel.
A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Eric Lively, will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday after the visitation at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Southside Baptist Church, 530 Bethany Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
