KINGS MOUNTAIN - Oscar Newell "Speedy" Bowman, 81, a resident of 407 Crocker Road, died Oct. 3, 2012, at his home.
Born in Forsyth County, he was the son of the Late Carl W. and Mamie Moser Bowman.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Harris Funeral Home
Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, with full military honors.
