CRAMERTON - Stella Kephart Grooms, 100, formerly of Cramerton, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at Alexandria Place.

She was born in Murphy on Sept. 19, 1912, a daughter of the late Jack and Lydia Lovingood Kephart. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Chester McClelland Grooms; her beloved daughters, Peggy J. Grooms and Barbara G. Patton; and two brothers, Johnny and Lawson Kephart.

Stella was a longtime member of West Cramerton Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Anthony "Tony" M. Grooms of Dallas, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Stella's life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McLean Funeral Directors, Bumgardner Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
