MOUNT HOLLY - Steven Gordon Leverette, 50, peacefully walked into the presence of a loving Savior where justice has always
prevailed and where a loving Father makes all things right.
He was a native of Mecklenburg County, son of Peggy Elrod Leverette and the late Lonnie Leverette.
Steven was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed the game of baseball. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Lonnessa Owensby and husband Ronnie and Lisa Baker; nieces, Nikki Abernathy and hus-band Jason, Kari Owensby and Taylor Baker; nephew, Joshua Leverette; great nephew, Damien Baker; as well as numerous cousins and friends and his beloved pet Winston.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont with the Rev. Roger Grassfield of-ficiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont is serving the family.
