GASTONIA - Teddy Delano "Ted" Weaver Sr., 78, died Aug. 1, 2012, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.

Mr. Weaver was born July 29, 1934, in Gastonia, to the late Glenn W. Weaver and Florence Bradley Weaver.

He was also preceded by a sister, Louise Lineberger and two brothers, Glenn Weaver Jr. and Walt Weaver.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran serving during the Korean War.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred Lucille McVickers Weaver; son, Teddy D. Weaver Jr. and wife Tina; daughters, Teresa Buckley and husband Denver, Debbie Noah and husband Johnny, Pamela "Penny" Weaver and Pat Snyder and husband Richard; two sisters, Faye Smrz and husband John and Gladys Lail; 16 grand and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Westview Baptist Church, 3385 Fairview Drive, Gastonia.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment with military honors will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

The family shares special thanks to the staff of White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain for the love and care given to Mr. Weaver during his stay. They are most appreciative.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4200 Morganton Road, Suite 300, Fayetteville, NC 28314.
