KINGS MOUNTAIN -- Vera Sellers Bridges, 95, of 716 Sipes St., went to be with the Lord on Feb. 23, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.

She was born in Cleveland County to the late William B. Sellers and Roseanna Blanton Sellers. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Woodrow Hord Bridges; son, Lawrence Bridges; four brothers and six sisters.
Mrs. Bridges was retired from Parkdale Mills. She was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church, one of the last serving charter members. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of White Oak Manor and Kings Mountain Hospice House for their courteous service to our mother.
Survivors include sons, Gene Bridges and wife Candy, Bessemer City, Larry Bridges and wife Ann, Lenoir, and Darrell Bridges, Kings Mountain; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Eastside Baptist Church with Revs. Ron Caulder and Doug Ramsey officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 in the fellowship hall of Eastside Baptist Church other times at the home of the granddaughter, Sherry Sellers, 1023 Bethlehem Church Road, Grover, N.C.
Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
