BELMONT - Virginia Hunter Davie, 83, of 504 Sacco St. Ext, died May 1, 2012, at her residence.
She was born April 30, 1929, daughter of the late James Carl Hunter and Maggie Hunter Grier.
Mrs. Davie is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Davie Mack of Charlotte; three sons, Fred A Davie Jr. of New York City, Reginald V Davie (Lenora) of Charlotte, and Thomas A Davie Sr. of Belmont; one brother, Reginald L Hunter of Belmont; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James L "Boob" Hunter; one sister, Willie Hunter Shoats.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Loves Chapel Presbyterian Church, 204 Lincoln St., Belmont.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at thee church.
Interment will be at York Memorial Park, Charlotte.
